LAST MINUTE WITH MOM

by admin

We know things are a little hectic right now. With the daily changes and complete uncertainty of COVID-19, we didn’t want Mom to go unnoticed or forgotten during this time. If we’re being honest with ourselves, we know Moms have stepped up in a big way during the pandemic. While we may have gotten caught up in our WFH schedule and our #selfcare routine, we still had some last minute ideas that we think will make Mom feel loved and cherished. Our Moms do so much for us in big and little ways everyday, we don’t want this day to go unnoticed or without effort.

**We should mention – we made this list of last minute Mother’s Day ideas in with ALL Mother figures in mind. Our hearts go out to those of you who have lost a Mother, who have strained relationships with Mom, or who may have never known your Mama at all. We encourage you to look for the people in your lives who have filled in where they can, even if that person is you. **

SERVE UP SOME DALGON COFFEE

IN PERSON

Make her the VERY trendy Dalgon Coffee (we like to call it the fluffy coffee).
Mix equal parts instant coffee, hot water, and sugar.
Serve over your choice of milk and ice.

FROM A DISTANCE

Venmo your Mama a couple dollars for a coffee and a sweet note. There’s nothing better than getting a Venmo notification that’s intended for an unexpected treat.

STAY HOME BRUNCH

HOMEMADE BRUNCH

Um, hello! Why don’t we do this more!? Cook Mom (and you!) her favorite brunch.
Set the table. Cook her favorite breakfast. Pour up some Champ-Bucha or Mimosas. Maybe even a Bloody Mary. Make it extra special and bring out the good china!

CHAMP – BUCHA

Consider us hooked. Champ-Bucha is Kombuch and Champagne MIXED! We do a half and half mix but it’s really up to you. Pick your favorite Kombucha and add Champagne!

MOTHER’S DAY MANI

THE MUCH NEEDED MANI

Listen, we weren’t going to bring it up, but we are ALL way overdue for a manicure. Pamper Mama with an afternoon mani!

Not sure how? We love Olive & June’s Mani Bootcamp for lessons on how to get the best results.

MOTHER’S DAY FROM A DISTANCE

SUPPORT LOCAL FOOD DELIVERY

Can’t get to Mom? Treat her to her favorite local delivery! If you really want to go above and beyond, treat her to all three meals. Who wouldn’t be excited to not cook or do dishes all day?
PRO TIP – Order yourself a meal too and video chat her so you can share a meal together!

LOCAL FLOWER DELIVERY

We’ll admit that it’s a bit late in the game for this one. However, you can Yelp/google your local florists and ask if they still have delivery for Mother’s Day. Chances are, you’ll find one that has some room in their schedule.
